Our story
Heritage you can wear
Maheshwari Saree Collection is a boutique devoted to the handwoven sarees of Maheshwar and the wider traditions of Indian ethnic wear.
Our philosophy
Fewer, finer sarees
A saree is rarely just a garment. It is the one you wear to a wedding, the one your mother lends you, the one you choose for a first festival in a new home.
We keep our collection focused on sarees we would be proud to give: light Maheshwari weaves for everyday grace, richer pieces for celebrations, and statement sarees for the wedding season.
Shopping with us should feel as personal as visiting a boutique, with clear details, secure payments and real people to help.

Our heritage
A weave with a story in every thread
Light enough for a summer afternoon and graceful enough for a celebration, the Maheshwari saree is known for its gentle sheen, its airy drape and its finely woven borders.
From the banks of the Narmada
Maheshwari weaving takes its name from Maheshwar, a temple town on the Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh, where the craft has been practised for generations.
Shaped by a royal patron
The tradition is closely linked with Rani Ahilyabai Holkar, the eighteenth century ruler of Malwa, who is remembered for encouraging weavers to settle in Maheshwar.
Motifs drawn from stone
Classic patterns such as the chatai, a woven mat, the eent, a brick, and the heera, a diamond, echo the architecture of the Maheshwar fort along the river.
What we stand for
Our commitments to you
Chosen with care
Every saree is selected for its weave, its colour and the way it drapes, so the collection stays small and considered.
Honest descriptions
We describe fabric, length and care plainly, and photograph each piece so that what arrives is what you chose.
Respect for the craft
We celebrate handloom traditions and the time they take, and share the stories behind the motifs we love.
Here when you need us
From choosing a saree for a wedding to tracking a parcel, you can always write to us and hear back from a person.
